Photographers Without Borders
Womens' right and digital literacy. Nathuakhan, India
In November 2014, Lisa travelled to Nathuakhan, India, a village of 2,000 in the Central Himalayas, to highlight the work of a local NGO empowering women through digital literacy and leadership skills. Not only did Lisa photograph classes, she also documented the daily lives of women in the village.
Shiksha Alok was able to use Lisa's photos on their website and in pamphlets to create a larger online presence and engage in outreach. This was possible through a partnership with the Canadian chapter of Photographers Without Borders.
